Humboldt Youth Soccer League

Humboldt Youth Soccer League (HYSL) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with over 20 years of involvement in the Humboldt County community. HYSL provides organized soccer in the form of practices and games to over 800 local youth players, ages 4 to 18, in both recreation and competitive levels.

HYSL is run by a volunteer Board of Directors who work year-round to plan and put together player registration, recruit coaches and sponsors, compose over 75 teams, schedule over 500 games, coordinate referees AND culminate the season with a Coaches & Sponsors Dinner. There are far more numerous details and duties of the organization than there is room to list, that is why HYSL relies heavily upon the parents and guardians to volunteer time to help maintain fields, work in the snack bar and, most importantly, coach the teams. The regular season for the recreation division begins in mid-August and ends in early November. For information about the Developmental/Competitive level, please check out the Breakers/United General Info page.

This Friday, June 17th, is the last day for parents to sign up their children for the Challenger summer camp in order for their child to receive a free challenger soccer jersey!
